The Lake County Master Gardeners run a help line from April until September, answering horticultural questions, we can be reached at (219) 755-3240.  
Please remember this service is seasonal.  We utilize volunteers who have completed the Purdue Master Gardener Certification to answer your questions.

Master Gardener Annual Symposium 2018
September 15, 2018, our event will be held at the Avalon Manor Banquet Center in Merrillville, IN. Tickets will go on sale August 1st and will be $40 per person.
The day includes  lecturers, vendors, and lunch!

Home Gardening Course

Interested in landscaping or gardening and don’t know where to begin? Have you thought about the Master Gardener Training, but don’t have the time to commit to volunteering? Then this Home Gardening Course is for you! In this intense training you will gain gardening knowledge for ornamentals, lawn and edibles. This course is like taking the Master Gardener Training without committing to attend every session or to volunteering after the program.
Details of the program:
The program will be on Sept. 27, Oct. 4, (Wednesday) 10, 18,25, & Nov. 1. It will go from 6pm to 9pm. The fee is $50 to include all materials and handouts. Sessions will be held at 2291 N. Main Street, Crown Point, IN. If you have any questions, contact Nikky Witkowski at nikky@purdue.edu or 219-755-3240.
